A reminder
2009 will be an important year for the Association in the course of which will be held the General Assembly and the elections.
Prior to these, there will be a seminar on migration issues and the theme will be: “Young women and migration: looking for more
humanity and justice”. These two meetings will take place in Tarija, Bolivia, from 16 to 22 November 2009.
In order to better prepare for this seminar, a questionnaire has been sent to national Associations.
Feedback is expected no later than end of April 2009. In case you have not received it as yet, please feel free to let us know.
European Regional Commission (ERC)
The ERC held its Annual General Assembly in Cologne, Germany, from 6 to 9 November 2008. An important task was to review the draft
statutes which would make it easier for the Commission to submit projects to the European Union.
On 10 November, IN VIA Cologne celebrated its 110th anniversary of existence.
A Lithuanian Committee, comprised of 11 associations having the same goals and concerns
as those of ACISJF – IN VIA, wishes to join the ERC. It is supported by IN VIA Berlin which considers their projects as wonderful.
Working hours of the International Secretariat
Taking into account the health of our administrative secretary, Mona Ngo, the working hours of the Geneva Secretariat have been modified. From now on, the Secretariat is open from 2.00p.m. till 6.00p.m., from Monday to Friday.
